 I am the owner and lead trainer at Beacon Farms and Kennels which is located in Fortson, Georgia where my goal for each dog I train is to unleash their highest potential in regard to bird work in the field and overall resiliency. Being a professional self-defense instructor and business owner for over 20 years taught me the importance and benefits of using a synergistic teaching format. Not only is using the best format important, but also having the will 

and patience to carry it out daily.

In my opinion, this is the best way to see optimal results as efficiently as possible. After retiring from the self-defense industry, I decided to pursue my lifelong love of the outdoors through professionally training fine bird dogs. This pursuit led me to quite possibly the most renowned bird dog training family in the nation...the Smith Family. And more specifically, Ronnie Smith and his wife, Susanna Love Smith. 

Initially what drew me to Ronnie Smith's program was our commonality in a systematic approach to training. Everything Ronnie and Susanna do while interacting with the dogs is intentional and has a purpose that correlates with the end goal.

After applying the information to my own dogs from their Silent Command System DVDs and their book Training Bird Dogs with Ronnie Smith Kennels, I was convinced this system was what I wanted to implement.  All of this, along with much prayer; lead me to the Prairies of the Osage in Oklahoma to train directly under Ronnie and Susanna. 

After spending 3 months in their immersive apprenticeship program, I am one of only a select few trainers in the nation to receive an advanced level certificate in the Silent Command System.
